YouTube TV Extends Multiview Capability to iOS Devices

Google is currently in the development stages of introducing a Multiview feature for YouTube TV. While some users are already reaping the benefits of this enhancement, it's not universally accessible as of now. Initially introduced for televisions, Multiview is now gradually making its way to iPhones and iPads, as confirmed by YouTube TV.

To access Multiview on iOS devices, users need to ensure their YouTube TV app is updated to version 8.11 or higher, according to YouTube's official statement.

This move isn't unexpected, as many users had already noticed they gained access to Multiview prior to its official global rollout this week.

Although there are discrepancies in functionality between the iOS and TV versions of Multiview, its availability on iPhones and iPads marks a promising beginning. Google has the potential to enhance the experience further on these devices.

Meanwhile, for Android users, Google seems to be taking a more measured approach. The Multiview feature will be incorporated into YouTube TV for Android "in the coming months," according to Google, with no specific timeline provided yet.
