The OnePlus Open's debut date has at last been announced! In an exclusive interview with The Verge, the company's President and COO Kinder Liu disclosed the release date of its first-ever foldable phone, following months of many leaks and speculations. The OnePlus Open will make its official debut later this month, namely the following week. Today, OPPO, a sibling company of OnePlus, also disclosed that the Find N3 series foldables would be unveiled on October 19.

The OnePlus Open will be announced on October 19th, according to OnePlus President Kinder Liu. The launch ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST (4 PM CEST and 10 AM EDT) in Mumbai. The CEO said the future product would "raise the foldable experience to new heights." He continued by saying that OnePlus had spent two years studying and creating prototypes, but the debut had been postponed because of technological difficulties.

Additionally, it has already been established that the OPPO Find N3, which will make its debut the same day in Singapore at 14:30 GMT, and the OnePlus Open are identical. This is due to the Chinese market's exclusivity of OPPO's book-like Find N foldables.

We can also see the OnePlus Open in the magazine's photograph. It validates the existence of a boxy form factor and a three-stage alert slider. The foldable phone appears to come in a Green color option based on the device's frame. In the interview, Liu also stated that OnePlus aims to provide a flawless premium foldable experience.
