OnePlus launched its hype-building effort for the Open earlier this month with a promotional film that showed the smartphone from some angles, but not all of them, and also covered off what seemed to be a sizable camera island on its back.

Today, a typically trustworthy source sent us a ton of leaked renderings of the impending foldable smartphone. These models leave little to the imagination and depict every single feature. Indeed, there is a sizable camera island on the back.

According to the renderings, the OnePlus Open will come in two color options: fake leather black and glass green. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU from Qualcomm will power the phone, which makes sense given the speculations that it will be released this month. But only a few days later, Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will put the Open in an unpleasant position.

Particularly given that this leak has revealed a reported US price of $1,699, which is just $100 less than the amount the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 first retailed for. Therefore, it is not conceivable to position the Open in a more cheap area of the market to ease the usage of a chipset that will be obsolete in a matter of days.

Anyhow, the OnePlus Open will have a 7.8-inch flexible primary screen made by BOE, a 6.31-inch outer screen, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage. Supposedly, it will become official on October 19. It will reportedly include three cameras: a 48 MP primary camera, a 48 MP ultrawide camera, and a 64 MP 3x optical zoom camera.
