Excitement is brewing as leaks unveil the anticipated Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, poised to hit the market soon. Today, alongside official-looking renders, specifications for the M55 have emerged, shedding light on what consumers can expect.

The Galaxy M55 is rumored to boast a stunning 6.7-inch FHD+ 120 Hz Super AMOLED+ display, featuring thin bezels and an impressive 1,000-nit peak refresh rate. Available in light green and black color options, Samsung may opt for more vibrant names to characterize these hues.

A multifunctional triple camera system, consisting of an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 2 MP macro shooter, and a 50 MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), is mounted on the back of the M55. Moreover, selfie lovers will adore the 50 MP front-facing camera.

Powering the device is a robust 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging. Under the hood, the M55 packs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. Storage options include 128GB or 256GB, expandable up to 1TB via microSD cards. An under-display fingerprint sensor ensures convenient security measures.

Expectedly, the Galaxy M55 is rumored to debut with Android 14 running One UI 6 on top. Samsung is reportedly committing to providing five major Android updates and five years of security updates. Dual-SIM functionality, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC capabilities are also part of the package.

In comparison to the Galaxy A55, the M55 offers a slightly larger screen, a different chipset choice (opting for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 over Samsung's Exynos 1480), lower-resolution ultrawide and macro cameras, a higher-resolution selfie camera, and faster charging support. With these enhancements, the M55 promises to offer a compelling alternative to the A55. All that remains is for Samsung to officially unveil this eagerly anticipated device.
