The messaging service owned by Meta, WhatsApp, has recently released upgrades emphasizing UI/UX improvements and the addition of long-awaited functionalities. The most recent update, 2.23.19.7, accessible through the Google Play Beta Program, includes the exciting addition of conversation filters.

This new feature, according to WABetaInfo, seeks to provide users greater control over their discussions by making message management and prioritizing simpler. The most recent beta version provides a sneak preview of several significant enhancements even though it is still under development.

Users may create a list of their group chats using the new filter while ignoring individual talks. The "Personal" filter has been renamed "Contacts" to only contain individual talks to improve clarity and differentiation. Notably, this update got rid of the "Business" filter.

An improvement that satisfies users' long-standing requests for an easier method to manage and organize group discussions within the app is the addition of a separate "Groups" tab filter. Since many people belong to many groups for various reasons, including work, family, friends, and interests, this filter offers quicker access and improved organization.

The function is now only accessible to a small number of WhatsApp beta testers, but it is anticipated to be made available to a larger audience shortly once it has been improved and polished.

WhatsApp is currently working on additional features in addition to chat filtering, like email verification and the capacity to conceal IP addresses during conversations. Avatar responses to WhatsApp status updates are also now possible in the most recent beta version, significantly enhancing the app's features.
