The Tecno Phantom V1 Flip which was unveiled last year is getting an upgrade with the upcoming Tecno Phantom V2 Flip. Recently, the device passed FCC certification, revealing a fresh design and improved battery capacity. The new model, identified by the model number AE11, showcases a large secondary screen on the back panel, departing from the circular camera module ring seen in its predecessor. This square-shaped display is complemented by two horizontally stacked camera sensors and an LED flash unit. The design schematic indicates a sleeker profile with power and volume buttons conveniently located on the right side.

The Phantom V2 Flip’s battery is a significant upgrade from the previous model, boasting a dual-cell system with capacities of 3,410mAh and 1,180mAh, culminating in a substantial 4,590mAh cell. This is a 15% increase over the first-generation V Flip, promising longer usage times for consumers. Additionally, the device is expected to support 70W fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups for those on the go.

In terms of performance, the Phantom V2 Flip is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This configuration was hinted at in a Geekbench listing, where the phone scored 814 and 2,866 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. These scores suggest a good performance that could handle multitasking and demanding applications with ease.

The dimensions of the unfolded device are reported to be 170×74×8 mm, and when folded, it measures 85×74×16 mm. Tecno Phantom V2 Flip could arrive with a redesigned outer screen, likely to feature a rectangular outer display.
