In recent weeks, Samsung's Galaxy Ring has captured widespread attention following its unveiling last month. At the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the tech giant shed light on additional details surrounding the wearable device. Yet, fresh insights into the Galaxy Ring have emerged, courtesy of the team at CNET. The latest revelations delve into the smart ring's dimensions, battery capacities, and compatibility.

During their hands-on experience at MWC, CNET reported that the smallest variant of the Galaxy Ring weighs a mere 2.3 grams, while the largest option registers at 2.9 grams. This weight disparity notably sets it apart from competitors like the Oura ring, which typically weighs between four to six grams.

Samsung disclosed that the smallest prototype of the ring boasts a battery capacity of 14.5mAh, with larger models featuring a slightly higher capacity of 21.5mAh. Earlier confirmations from the South Korean tech giant indicated that the Galaxy Ring could offer up to 9 days of battery life.

In a significant move, Samsung's Vice President and Head of Digital Health, Hon Park, highlighted that users can pair the Galaxy Ring with the Galaxy Watch for enhanced functionality. Moreover, the Galaxy Ring is designed to seamlessly integrate with Galaxy phones. However, Park clarified that efforts are underway to ensure compatibility with other Android devices. However, it's disappointing news for iOS users as the Galaxy Ring won't be compatible with Apple's operating system.
