A couple of months back, renders of the Samsung Galaxy A35 surfaced, and today, the smartphone appeared on Geekbench. The preliminary details indicate that the device is set to feature an Exynos 1380 chipset, with an option for 6 GB of RAM, as disclosed by the benchmark scores.

The SM-A356U notched up a score of 697 for a single core and 2,332 for multiple cores. While these figures may seem underwhelming compared to another Galaxy A device sporting the same chipset, it's crucial to note that this could well be an early prototype. The raw performance is likely to see improvements by the time the phone hits the market.

Though Geekbench seldom explicitly mentions the chipset, the Exynos 1380 is discerned from the s5e8835 model number of the motherboard and processor. Powering the Galaxy A35 will be a CPU equipped with 4x2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55, a configuration also found in the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy M54/F54.

While some might find the chipset's performance on the slower side for a device of the A5x series, it's anticipated that the Exynos 1380 will seamlessly complement the more budget-friendly Galaxy A35. The Samsung-crafted SoC is expected to usher in a notable upgrade from the earlier A3x models, which featured a CPU with just two cores for performance.
