Poco X6: Immersive Display, Innovative Cameras, Fingerprint
Poco has just concluded its latest launch event, unveiling the newest additions to the Poco X-series. The Poco X6, sporting a striking resemblance to the Redmi Note 13 Pro, has made a notable change by swapping out the 200MP main camera for a 64MP shooter. Under the hood, it boasts the impressive Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, marking a significant leap from last year's Poco X5 with its Snapdragon 695.
On the other hand, the Poco X6 Pro is a rebrand of the Redmi K70E and opts for MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset, accompanied by slightly slower 67W charging compared to the K70E's 90W speeds.
Both iterations of the Poco X6 boast expansive 6.67-inch AMOLED displays, featuring a high resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels. The screens are not only visually stunning but also operate seamlessly with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience. Additionally, the displays can reach an impressive peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits.
A standout feature on both phones is the shared 16MP front-facing camera, ingeniously housed within a punch-hole cutout. This design choice contributes to a more immersive display without compromising on the selfie camera's capabilities. Notably, Poco introduces in-display fingerprint scanners to both X6 variants, marking a significant first for the brand.
Turning to the rear cameras, the main camera on these devices boasts a 64MP capability, bringing an advanced 2x lossless in-sensor zoom to the table. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is also integrated, ensuring crisp and clear shots even in challenging conditions. Accompanying this primary shooter is an 8MP ultrawide module for capturing expansive scenes, and a 2MP macro lens to delve into the intricate details of close-up subjects. The camera setup is carefully crafted to cater to a diverse range of photography needs.
The software front sees the Poco X6 Pro running Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14, while the X6 will debut with the older MIUI 14 but is promised to receive an update to HyperOS soon. Poco guarantees both X6 models will receive three Android updates and four years of security patches.
In terms of battery, the Poco X6 Pro is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 67W charging, while the X6 features a slightly larger 5,100 mAh battery with the same 67W charging speeds.
Color options include black, white, and blue for the Poco X6, while the Poco X6 Pro is available in black, grey, and the signature Poco yellow.
