Oppo A2x Set to launch on October 14
The company said today on its Weibo profile that the Oppo A2x would launch on October 14. The smartphone was also featured on the company's website, indicating that it will be a cost-effective device with a starting price of CNY1,099 (about $150).
Specifications have not yet been made public, however, rumors pointed to a Dimensity 6020 chipset. In addition, we can see that there is one camera on the back and another one at the front with a waterdrop notch. The memory choices listed are 6/128 GB or 8/256 GB.
The Oppo A2x is available in Midnight Black on the webshop, but official posters make it obvious that there are two other color options: Flying Frost Purple and Mulberry Gold. The fact that the power key is big and flat suggests that it will double as a fingerprint scanner, which raises the possibility that the front display is an LCD.
The Oppo A2x currently has many unconfirmed specifications, but in four days, everything will be evident. The gadget is debuting in China, and we'll be watching to see if it also makes it overseas—under the same brand or a different one.
