Lava Blaze 2 5G Launches With Dimensity 6020 SoC, Ring Light Feature, and Bloatware-Free Android Environment
Lava debuted the Lava Blaze 2 4G in April, and today, the company made good on its promise by launching the 5G variant in India through an exclusive online event. The Lava Blaze 2 5G is available in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB versions, and it is powered by the Dimensity 6020 SoC. This storage is of the UFS 2.2 variety and may be expanded by up to 1TB using a microSD card. For such, the smartphone includes a separate microSD card slot.
In addition to an Android 14 upgrade and two years of free quarterly security updates, the Lava Blaze 2 5G comes pre-installed with a pure, "clean" version of Android 13. Besides being anonymous, it also includes the option to record calls automatically.
A 6.56" HD+ 90Hz LCD with a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz and a peak brightness of 450 nits serves as the main component of the Lava Blaze 2 5G. The 8MP selfie camera is located in the middle punch-hole on the screen.
The glass back of the Blaze 2 5G has a circular island that houses the primary 50MP camera and the VGA camera. One of the features of the island is a circular Ring Light that is housed within along with an LED flash. To offer notifications for applications and other features, incoming call warnings, and battery charge status, the Ring Light blinks blue. Its hue cannot be changed, but its brightness may.
A 5,000 mAh battery powers the entire device and can draw up to 18W from a USB-C connector. The Lava Blaze 2 5G's other notable features include a dual-SIM 5G, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and compatibility for Hi-Res Audio on the speaker.
Glass Lavender, Glass Black, and Glass Blue are the available colors for the Lava Blaze 2 5G. Priced at INR9,999 ($120/€113) for the 4GB/64GB model and INR10,999 ($132/€125) for the 6GB/128GB variant. In India, sales start on November 9 via Amazon. in, the retail network, and Lava's website.
To save consumers from having to bring their handsets to Lava's service facilities, the Indian smartphone manufacturer also provides Free Home Service. If the product is still under warranty, it will be sent to the consumers at no cost to them.
