Infinix Expands Smart 8 Lineup with New Plus Model
In India, Infinix is introducing the Infinix Smart 8 and the Smart 8 HD smartphones, and the company recently teased the Smart 8 Pro on its global website without revealing pricing or availability details. Now, the spotlight is on another addition to the Smart 8 series - the Infinix Smart 8 Plus.
The 6.6-inch IPS LCD of the Smart 8 Plus, which has a punch-hole positioned in the center, has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a brightness of up to 500 nits. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front, a 50-megapixel primary camera, an AI lens, and a quad-LED flash on the back panel.
Under the hood, the Smart 8 Plus is powered by the Helio G36 chip and comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM coupled with 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. Need more storage? No worries, as it comes equipped with a microSD card slot. Running on XOS 13-based Android 13 Go, the device also incorporates a side-facing fingerprint sensor for security.
Keeping you powered throughout the day is a hefty 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging through a USB-C port. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Smart 8 Plus measures 163.65 x 75.7 x 8.95mm and weighs in at 204 grams.
As of now, Infinix is yet to unveil the Smart 8 Plus's price and availability. When it does hit the shelves, consumers can choose from four stylish color options: Timber Black, Galaxy White, and Shiny Gold.
