HyperOS Update Schedule for Q2 2024 Announced by Xiaomi: Eligible Devices Revealed
Xiaomi’s HyperOS, a new skin for Android smartphones, has been making waves since its initial rollout in India on February 29. Now, the company has unveiled its plans for the next phase of HyperOS updates, specifically for eligible Xiaomi and Redmi devices in Q2 2024.
Xiaomi revealed its schedule for launching HyperOS in the second quarter of 2024 through a post on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend. The lineup of compatible smartphones encompasses models such as the Xiaomi 11 Lite, Xiaomi 11i, Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 10, Redmi K50i, Redmi 12, Redmi 11 Prime, as well as the Redmi 13C series and Redmi Note 11 series. Additionally, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is set to receive the HyperOS update, as per the company's announcement.

What to Expect
When the HyperOS update arrives for these devices, users can look forward to several improvements:
- Enhanced system performance
- Smoother task switching
- Optimized message delivery
- Reduced inbuilt storage usage
- Faster OTA updates compared to MIUI 14
Additionally, users will gain access to lock screen customizations, revamped control center, icons, and fonts. Productivity features like Workstation Mode (for tablets) and interconnectivity options, such as viewing your phone’s screen on your tablet, will enhance the overall experience.
Xiaomi has already implemented the HyperOS update for devices such as the Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro, as well as the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 13 series, in addition to various other Redmi models. Furthermore, both the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Redmi Pad have received updates from the company. It's anticipated that more smartphones and tablets will receive the HyperOS update later this year.
