Google's November Update Fixes Reboot Loop Issue on Pixel Devices
The launch of Android 14 last month was not much different from most of the major Android updates that Google releases, it appears. After installing the update, some users with numerous user accounts may have an "out of space" error, or, worse, their device may become stuck in a reboot loop.
To put it mildly, that is not ideal. Thankfully, the flaw that was causing the aforementioned problems has been resolved, and Google is already rolling out the November Android update for Pixels that are compatible. It turns out that the issue affected a large number of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6a smartphones, as well as Pixel 7 and 7a devices, Pixel Tablets, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, and Pixel 8 Pro devices.
In addition, the update resolves several other issues: one that on the Pixel 7 Pro causes a green flash when the display turns off under specific circumstances; another that makes NFC unstable; a third that causes system instability when an app requests an uninstalled app; a fourth that occasionally results in desktop icons disappearing when you unlock the device; a fifth that causes the wallpaper to be misaligned on devices with notches or hole punches; and a sixth that causes screen jerkiness when touch registration becomes imprecise (on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro).
According to Google, it will take a week for the deployment to affect every device in the wild. It will go out in phases based on the device and carrier. For the Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, and Pixel 5a 5G, the new build number is UP1A.231105.001, for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, it is UD1A.231105.004, and for all other compatible devices, it is UP1A.231105.003.
