The Google Pixel 8a has already gotten thousands of leaks in terms of pictures, specifications, features and other addons, the latest of which reveal four new color options. The device is expected to come in Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay, and Mint colors. The Mint color is particularly notable for being a more vibrant option compared to the usual offerings. There’s also talk that some colors might be exclusive to the Google Store.

From a design perspective, the Pixel 8a is rumored to feature Google’s most significant design shift to date. Leaked images suggest a departure from Google’s regular color schemes, showcasing the phone in a variety of angles and highlighting the new, lively color options.

Feature-wise, the Pixel 8a is expected to pack a lot of specifications, however this could potentially increase the price. The Google Pixel 8a is rumored to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits of peak HDR brightness, which is a significant upgrade from its predecessor. It’s expected to be powered by the Tensor G3 processor, ensuring smooth performance.

The camera setup might include a 64MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide lens, along with a 13MP selfie camera. For battery life, the device is anticipated to have a 4,500 mAh battery with 27W charging capabilities. Additional features like DisplayPort output support are also expected.

The Google Pixel 8a is expected to be unveiled at Google’s I/O developer conference on May 14. This aligns with the previous release schedule seen with the Pixel 7a. Despite the lack of official confirmation from Google, the detailed leaks suggest that the announcement could be just around the corner.
